There are many kinds of codes, and kinds of application of codes are among others too, such as the most common types:

1. Barcode: it is a kind of data that usually appears in a parallel lines pattern, can be scanned, and hence is machine-readable. Barcodes can contain the information of product details or the serial number of the specific stock; hence, identification and tracking are quick at the retail and logistics ends.

They can carry any text, link, or other data.
